Floral Engagement Card

Here goes my second post for today. I have a sweet friend that just got engaged, so I knew I would make this card for her. I scrap lifted this idea from Scrappin Cookie. The card was beautiful and I knew I had to make one too. The card has a great sketch.

I cut the beautiful roses from the Cricut Art Philosophy cart (that really is a must have cart).

I added some Stickles to the cream colored rose to make it sparkle. I also used a script stamp on the banner to give the card a print paper. The inks and brown (hart to find color) embossing powder are from Close To My Heart.

I will enter this card into a challenge at Cardz TV. The theme is engagement, wedding or wedding shower.

Forever Young Mother's Day Card

Yeah, I got one more Mother's Day card out the way. Next year I really think I'm going to mass produce something super quick and simple. But I always enjoy making a unique card for each unique person. So hard to break habits like that.

Anyway, I made this card base on two challenges. Sketches By Carly required me to follow a sketch and the other challenge at Scrappy Moms Stamps wanted you to cut an image off Forever Young.

The flowers were cut from Cricut Mother's Day Bouquet, the circle border is from Cricut Art Philosophy, the lady is from Cricut Forever Young. I added some Viva Decor Pearl Pen drops to the center of the flowers. I also made my own print paper (the light pink paper) with a script stamps from MCT.

Here is my card. I will be giving this to one of my aunts. I hope she likes it.

CTMH Dragonfly Frame Card

I have here a cute dragonfly card I made with my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. I cut the card base and the frame at 4.75" and the dragonfly that goes on top at 3.75". I embossed the front of the card and the wings of the dragonfly with my Cuttlebug. I inked the edges of the frame and dragonfly. I used Viva Decor gold pearl pen to make some eyes and some lime green Stickles to give the dragonfly some sparkle. I have not decided on a sentiment yet, so I will leave that part to later when I have a recipient or occasion for this card. This card is pretty simple and quick to make. It can easily be mass produced.

I will enter this card into the challenges at:
My Creative Time- use a frame challenge
Simon Says Stamps Challenge -anything goes
Paper Play Time - anything goes.

I added some Viva Decor Pearls, ribbon, crinkle ribbon and pop the dress form up with some pop dots. I did some heat embossing with the sentiment. The dress form is cut at 4" from the Nifty Fifties cartridge.

Birthday Card for Mom

Hello my Crafty friends,
I hope you are having a crafty day. I wanted to share a card that I made for my mom's birthday that is coming next week. Do you every find that some times you cannot figure out a theme or design immediately for a card? Well it wasn't until I got a new paper stack that I was finally inspired. The paper stack has a lot of pinks, creams, mint green, raspberry and brown. Then I knew I wanted to make a shabby chic sort of theme...but not too shabby. I used an awesome zipper die (that I finally received) to make this card and I LOVE it. I won't bore you today with a lot of details and recipes. So here is the card I made her.

Don't forget you can shop with me 24/7 for your Close To My Heart products.

Challenge Card- A Little Birdie Told Me

Hello, I am entering this card into a challenge.

I picked one piece of paper and let everything else inspire me from there. The sentiment was actually cut from the printed cardstock I used for the base layer of the card. I then cut a 2.5" scallop from Mini Monograms to layer the 2" circle shape sentiment on. The card is 5.5x5.5". The rectangles are 2x3" and layered with 2.25x3.25" rectangles. I actually used a white piece of card stock to make the folded card base (since that is my thickest most sturdiest cardstock on hand) and just colored the edge with a black Copic marker called 100 Black and you'd never know the difference. I stamped the hummingbird on the paper. I also used my Sew Easy tool (for the first time ever, even though I've had it for months-LOL) and did some hand stitching above the bird. By the way, if you don't have any Sew Easy thread you can use embroidery floss with the Sew Easy tool, which works great and only cost $0.20 at Michaels...and I think Joann sells the same brand too. I LOVE the way the stitching turned out. I made some pearl dots on the card with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen. There is also a looped edge black ribbon across the card. I'm really digging this card!
