Layout of Colors & More Challenge

Today I have a layout I made to enter into a couple challenge. I wanted something that was simple and minimal (because I really wanted the background paper to shine--its so pretty to me). One of the challenges I will enter is the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge- Color Inspiration 19. Here is a picture of the color inspiration and I absolutely LOVE the combo:

I will also enter this layout at My Creative Time (use buttons & one photo challenge) and lastly Crafty Calender Challenge (theme is things with wings)

Here is the layout I made for these challenges. I love the clean simplicity of it. I didn't have time to pick up my pictures today at the photo center to add it right away to the layout, but I will add a 4x6 where the blank 4x6 is laying so you get the idea.

I stamped an eye in gray ink (from a snowman assortment) from Peachy Keen Stamps on the bird. I also distressed the bird with the new Tim Holtz purple seasonal distress ink.

The bird 4" and the decorative circles 7" are cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and the font 1.5" are from Nursery Rhymes.

Guy Puppy Card

Hello paper lovers,
I made this cute card for my husband's birthday. It's so challenging for me to make manly cards for grown men. Most of my cartridges and supplies are very girly girl. But I managed this cutie pie card anyway. The puppy is cut from Animal Kingdom and the face was stamped with a Peachy Keen Face Stamp. The pretty Lagoon (turquoise) colored ink is from Close To My Heart. I  stamped the mouth first and then each of the eyes separately because the stamp was too big for the size of the dogs face, so the eyes had to be stamped closer together. Then I decided to make a second dog that I thought was sooo cute too, also cut from Animal Kingdom. So now I have an extra card for my stash.

I will enter the first card in the challenges at
1. Peachy Keen Stamps Blog - challenge 17 May sketch
2. Little Claire's Designs -Male Theme.

PKS Challenge- Designers Choice

Hello Happy almost Christmas Eve,

I made this cute little elf card to enter in a PKS challenge. I cut the elf from Jolly Holidays at 4.5 inches. I've been trying to cut my images as big as I can and fit them on a card still because it makes piecing them together so much easier. I added some black Glossy Accents to the lights string and some Stickles and clear Glossy Accents to the lights. I also used a Snow Marker I got at Joann in the isle with the fabric markers and it doesn't work that well at all. I distressed the edge with a Winter Seasonal Distress Ink called Iced Spruce. I will be sticking to my Liquid Applique. I stamped his little face with one of my PKS assorted faces stamps. Here is my elf cutie...

Have your elf a merry little Christmas!

Christmas Theme & More Challenge

Hello my Crafty blog buddies,
Today I have a card that I made for multiple challenges. There are several things I needed to incorporate to cover everyone's challenge. Here are the things I was required to incorporate between all the challenges: Christmas theme, PKS faces, fabric, follow a sketch, snowflakes, sparkle, use a Dilly Beans Digi stamp, add a bow or ribbon, use red embroidery floss and use the colors lime, pink and teal. OMG, I must tell you this was a challenge for sure to me to create a card that incorporated everyones requirements and still looked pretty, flowed well and kept with my style. I used my Copic markers to color the snow family, Cricut Art Philosophy for the 2" snowflakes, a punch for the tiny snowflakes,  The challenges I will enter are listed at the end. But without further a do here is the card I created and LOVE.

Here is a view to see where I added Liquid Applique to create some 3d snow.

I used some left over felt fabric for the snow on the ground.

Here are my Peachy Keen Faces stamps. They are stamped in an aqua blue and I sprayed on the snowflakes with some shimmer mist. (This ended up making them harder to see, but they are still adorable). Here is also my bow and ribbon.

I added some Stickles glitter glue on the hats and scarves for some addition sparkle and love it.

You can see more of my sparkle here on the heart, buttons and scarves. Here is were I incorporated the red embroidery floss I strung through the button on the snowman.

I actually made some doodles on the blue hat with my Glitter get pen for a different type of sparkle.

Challenge- PKS Holiday Recipe Card

This cutie pie (no pun intended lol) recipe card was created for a challenge at PKS. I love the way it turned out. I made a the card for a recipe that my family has been using since before I was a born. Its a pie called Lemon Ice Box Pie. It is delicious, cold, cool and lemony. We usually make it around the holidays, but I enjoy it best in the summer. Its served cold from the freezer usually and since its a summer type fruit it taste all the better on a hot summers day. I will be making one later tonight matter of fact, so I will try to remember to post pictures of it.

I cut the lemons from the Cricut Preserves cartridge at 1.25. They are stamped with faces from two different PKS. Don't you just love the shy lemon peeking from behind the ribbon? The pie came on the From My Kitchen cartridge cut at 1.5. The recipe card base is from Cricut Imagine Imagine More Cards (I changed the colors) cut at 4.7. I added some pretty green gingham ribbon which is the perfect touch. I printed onto the card to get the neatest and smallest writing possible to fit on the card. I LOVE the way it turned out, so glad I played along. I might just keep going and make more for our family recipes.

PKS- Sketch Challenge #65

Hello,
I am sharing a card I made for the PKS challenge. I stamped the snowman and sentiment with CTMH stamps. I used my Copic markers to color the snowman. I used some Stampin Up Chocolate Chip and embossed it with some clear powder so I would be able to color the image with my Copic markers on this type of ink. I used the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge for the circle-scallop like shape. I really love the way it all came together. It one of my favs for sure.

PKS Sketch Challenge 64- Cricut Imagine Bird Cage Printed on Balsa Wood Card

Hello, I am excited to share this card with you. I finally remembered to grad some Balsa wood (even though its called Basswood on the price tag) from Joann when I went this weekend.
I cut the wood with a Spellbinder Die in my Cuttlebug. This piece of wood in the card is 1/32 inches thick, which is thinner than the 1/16. I like the 1/32 better. It lays flatter, its cuts easier and has a smoother texture in the wood grain. I also uses my new Kiwi Lane designs for the pink and cream colored paper layer, but it is hard to see with the other things on top. I will do another card soon featuring Kiwi Lane card designs. I finished this card just in time to enter it in the PKS challenge. I hope you like my card as much as I do!!!

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 63 & Scrappy Moms Challenge 10-30-11

I'm back!!! It's been a while. I've unpacked all my craft stuff and hung all my shelves back up and I am reeving my creative engine.

I made this card just in time for the following two challenges:
-Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge 63
-Scrappy Moms: Terrific Tuesday Challenge- Doodlecharms

I cut the snowman from the Doodlecharms cartridge at 3.5" and stamped it with a Peachy Keen assorted snowman face set. I added some light blue chalk (not my usually pink) to the checks and used my copic markers to color the carrot nose. I used some glitter irocks for buttons on the chest. The stamp sentiment came from MPS. I Cuttlebuged the purple strip of paper with a snow flake folder. I used a Cricut winter paper pad. I used some light purple embroidery floss, which looks just like solid colored twine.

I really got a jump start on my Christmas cards, as I made 4 of this one. Whoo hoo!

Challenge- PKS- Radiating Sun & PKS Faces

Somewhere over the rainbow...

I made this card for a Peachy Keen Challenge. The theme was to make something that radiates the warmth of the sun and incorporates your peachy keen stamps.

I made a rainbow cut from Once Upon a Princess and stamped it with a Peachy Keen Stamp face. I used some stickles on the stars to give it some bling. I used an EK punch on one border. I love the way it turned out.
