Scrappy Monday Layout Challenge- Life Is Beautiful

Happy Mother's Day!!! I hope everyone has a special day.

The layout I'm sharing today was made for a challenge at My Creative Time. Emma had a sketch for us to follow in the challenge.
Here is the sketch

Here is my layout

A 5x7 picture will go where the white rectangle is.

I cut these cute shaped tags with Cricut Birthday Bash at 3.5". I used Distress ink to color them.
The sentiments are from My Creative Time.

I am loving these wide eyelets.

This button was the perfect touch. It looks vintage and has writing on it to match my paper.
The used a Sew Ribbon punch to weave the ribbon.

This is what the layout looks like without the faux picture.

I JUST LOVE THIS LAYOUT AND COLOR COMBO!!!

Sassy & Classy Mother's Day Card

Thank goodness its Friday!!! I'm so ready for the weekend. I'm sharing a card I made for Mother's Day for one of my dear friends. I love the way this card turned out. It is so cute!!! I should have massed produced it, but no, my cards are usually one of a kind made for each unique individual. But I'm thinking it would save me a lot of time at holidays to mass produce one awesome design.

This card is sassy and class just like my friend. I am loving the colors I picked for this card and the grey background was stamped by me to make my own print/pattern paper. The outfit the lady is wearing was printed on my Cricut Imagine machine using the Black and White cartridge, I also inked the edges with some white chalk ink and I love the effect it created. I added a cute tiny flower and a rhinestone with my iRock for some sparkle. Towards the bottom I added some matching sheer ribbon. The card shape is cut from Birthday Bash (love that cartridge) and the lady is cut from Forever Young. The sentiment if from MCT.

Here is a coordinating tag I cut to go on the gift box. I love this tag with its scalloped edge on the bottom!

I also added some black ribbon on the waist to look like a belt, but in the picture its a wee hard to see.

I also stamped and inked the tag and added matching ribbon.

I will be entering the card into the these challenge:
1. Exploring Cricut - use a Cricut cut
2. Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings - Mother's day theme with ribbon
3. The Ribbon Carousel - use a Mother's Day sentiment
4. Made Especially For You -  MD card with ribbon
5. Cardz Tv - There's no other like my mother
6. My Sheri Crafts - MD card use a flower

St. Patrick's Day Layout March 2012

I made this St. Patrick's Day layout to go into our 2012 family scrapbook for the month of March. I do at least one layout for each month of the year. I started this tradition last year. I am just loving the end results and I really LOVE the way the cork looks on a layout. I will definitely be buying some more and adding it to other pages. The "Lucky" is a sticker I had in my stash from last year that I never ended up using. For the black and cream rose print paper I used my Imagine machine to print a sheet of paper from the Imagine Black and White Cartridge. I used Cricut Paper Doll Dress up for the shamrocks. I love the way it looks with this SPD them, I was going to use a black and cream gingham pattern paper, but opted for something more girly and out of the SPD box. I got my inspiration from MPS Designer, Court, of Courts Crafts. Thanks, Court!

I will enter this into the following challenges:
1. My Pink Stamper- Use green challenge
2. Little Scrap Pieces- Luck of the Irish challenge- http://littlescrappieces.blogspot.com/
3. Bitten By the Bug 2- http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/2012/03/shamrock.html
4. Scrappy Moms Stamps- http://scrappymoms-stamps.blogspot.com/
Have a blessed day. Have fun and shake your shamrock. lol

Challenge- Horizontal Sketch

I created this card for the Horizontal Sketch Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

I cut the butterflies from Paisley at 2". I stamped a definition stamp over the butterflies and then sprayed them with Shimmer Mist for a sparkly shimmer look. I used Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip ink to stamp the MPS sentiment. The flowers were in my stash, they are by Prima.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to join this site to keep in touch.
Have a Crafty day.
