Challenge- Christmas Tag
Hello Crafty friends,
Today I have a tag I made for a challenge at Crafty Sprouts and I'm also entering it at http://www.whimsical-designs.com. I was working on this tag today and at first made it with a red flower, which I thought looked like poinsettia and loved it. But then the PTA president asked me this evening to make a tag for them to put on the new refidgerator they are gifting for the staff lounge. So I thought this tag would be perfect, but with a chirstmas present bow instead of the flower, so I took it off and viola. I think it turned out cute both ways. The elf is cut from Jolly Holiday. I put some stickles on the light bulbs for sparkle and some Glossy Accents (hard to see in the picture though). The sentiment I stapled onto the tag with a green staple is from TCP...I think if I remember correctly. I punched the corner with a ticket punch. I cut the tag from Celebrations at 6 1/4". That size seems huge for most things, so I doubt I'll be cutting it that large again. Here it is with the flower and finally with the bow...

Christmas Challenge Card
Hello Crafty friends,
I made this card to enter in a few challenges. I cut the ornament from Christmas Solutions at 3.5". I played with two different embossing techniques on these cards. On one ornament I embossed it in my Cuttlebug and the other card I embossed the sentiment with embossing power.

Hello-just a quick post today. Here is a beautiful Christmas wreath I made with paper flowers. I cut the flowers from my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge (LOVE this cart and the flowers awesome, who knew). I bought a small wreath that is about 7 inches and I glued the flowers around it and added a cute bow and lastly some wire to hang it. I love the way it turned out.

Challenge- PKS Holiday Recipe Card
This cutie pie (no pun intended lol) recipe card was created for a challenge at PKS. I love the way it turned out. I made a the card for a recipe that my family has been using since before I was a born. Its a pie called Lemon Ice Box Pie. It is delicious, cold, cool and lemony. We usually make it around the holidays, but I enjoy it best in the summer. Its served cold from the freezer usually and since its a summer type fruit it taste all the better on a hot summers day. I will be making one later tonight matter of fact, so I will try to remember to post pictures of it.
I cut the lemons from the Cricut Preserves cartridge at 1.25. They are stamped with faces from two different PKS. Don't you just love the shy lemon peeking from behind the ribbon? The pie came on the From My Kitchen cartridge cut at 1.5. The recipe card base is from Cricut Imagine Imagine More Cards (I changed the colors) cut at 4.7. I added some pretty green gingham ribbon which is the perfect touch. I printed onto the card to get the neatest and smallest writing possible to fit on the card. I LOVE the way it turned out, so glad I played along. I might just keep going and make more for our family recipes.

Challenge- Themes Native American, Thanksgiving, Turkey...
Here is a card I made for some challenges.
Over at Cooking with Cricut the theme is Thanksgiving.
http://www.cookingwithcricut.com/2011/11/challenge-60-lets-talk-turkey.html
At Die Cuttin Divas the theme is Native American, which is in honor of Navtive American Heritage Day on November 26th.
Also, I am entering this card in a challenge at My Sheri Crafts Challenge.
I made the frame on the card from Elegant Edges and the brown border as well. I cut the tag from Art Philosophy and stamped it with the phrase "Indian Summer" and hand wrote Thankful. My turkey is from Animal kingdom cut at 2.5 inches and jazzed up with some markers. I cut the Indian girl from Paper Doll Dress Up at 4 inches. I stamped her face with some PKS. I have to say this card is a little bit out of my style. I wanted to try something new by cutting a background mat from the Cricut into a shape or something other than your standard rectangles and squares. I also usually punch my borders with a punch, this time I cut one from a cartridge. Its taking its slow time to grow on me...perhaps we'll get there lol.
