Cherish The Moment...Layout

I finally had a moment to craft something again-yeah!!! I made this layout for a picture I took with my mom and sister a few days ago. I'm developing the picture in black and white in size 5x7. I used my new lace stamp to make the background (which I love). I used stamps from Papertrey Ink (Movers & Shakers stamps) for the "15" and Close To My Heart (Moments in Time) for the month and year on my date tag. The embossed sentiment at the bottom is from My Creative Time. I added some light pink tulle and flowers with brads in the center. I like the way this layout turned out.

I will enter this layout in these challenges:
1. Papertrey Ink- Wrap it up with fabric
3. Docerela Creations- Anything Goes

Surprise Pocket Card

I was not sure which way I wanted to go with this card at first. I knew I wanted to make a tag and watercolor it with my Close To My Heart Ink Pads, but that is all I know I wanted to do. Once I was finished with the tag everything else fell into place. I really like the effect of watercolors, whether you use real watercolor paint, watercolor pencils or the ink from the lid of your ink pad. The neat shaped tag is cut at 4" from the new Cricut Artiste Cartridge. The flower stamped I used is from Close To My Heart and the sentiment and white embossing powder are from Papertrey Ink. The ric rac ribbon can be found for a $1 at Michaels. I used white embroidery floss to stitch on the pocket.

I will be entering this card into the challenges at:
1. Capture the Moment- #77 Ink Pads as Watercolors
2. Simon Says Stamp Challenge- Bingo (Ribbon/Free/Blooms)

If you still need to purchase your very own Cricut Artiste Cartridge or Art Philosphy Cartridge, you can purchase HERE.

Smile Butterflies Layout

Today I have a BEAUTIFUL layout to share. I seen this idea in a scrapbook magazine and new I had to make one for myself.

My butterflies are cute at 1.5" from Cricut Art Philosophy. There are two butterflies on the cartridge, this one is #35. The brown background paper under the butterflies was embossed with a wood grain folder and inked for texture and dimension. Some of the butterflies I colored with Faber-Castell pencils and then went over them with a water brush. After doing so, they get a water color effect--LOVE it. I will be found these in one of my shelves...I forgot I ever even bought them. Boy, the treasures I find around here sometimes. LOL. I used a Close To My Heart stamp called Take A Picture #C1440 and embossed it with white embossing powder. The green scallop border was welded and created on my Gypsy. The pretty teal and white polka dot paper is from the Dotty For You CTMH paper pack.

I water brushed the butterflies lightly. I didn't want to wash them out too much.

If you like the Close To My Heart stamp you seen

You can purchase it here

Papertrey Ink June 2012 Blog Hop Challenge

Hello Crafty friends,
I have some beautiful sweet cards I made for the challenge at Papertrey Ink based on this photo inspiration:

I used the Papertrey Ink Movers and Shakers Sentiments on my cards. And some green and yellow paper and inks I had in my stash. I also inked my ribbon yellow, since I only had this style ribbon in white. I used some CTMH stamps to make my background paper. I made two cards for this challenge.
