A Peachy Blue Birthday Wishes To You

I made my own pattern paper by stamping the peach paper all over with a flower stamp from CTMH's Word Puzzle set.

Yikes, if you ever forget to Cuttlebug emboss your piece of paper before you put adhesive on it, no problem. Just stick it on a piece of wax paper and it will pill right off with out destroying the paper or the adhesive.

I will enter this card into the celebration challenge that Jovan at Cards By Jovan is having to celebrate her 3 year blogaversary. I will also enter over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner in the anything goes challenge.

Smile Butterflies Layout

Today I have a BEAUTIFUL layout to share. I seen this idea in a scrapbook magazine and new I had to make one for myself.

My butterflies are cute at 1.5" from Cricut Art Philosophy. There are two butterflies on the cartridge, this one is #35. The brown background paper under the butterflies was embossed with a wood grain folder and inked for texture and dimension. Some of the butterflies I colored with Faber-Castell pencils and then went over them with a water brush. After doing so, they get a water color effect--LOVE it. I will be found these in one of my shelves...I forgot I ever even bought them. Boy, the treasures I find around here sometimes. LOL. I used a Close To My Heart stamp called Take A Picture #C1440 and embossed it with white embossing powder. The green scallop border was welded and created on my Gypsy. The pretty teal and white polka dot paper is from the Dotty For You CTMH paper pack.

I water brushed the butterflies lightly. I didn't want to wash them out too much.

If you like the Close To My Heart stamp you seen

You can purchase it here

I will enter this layout into these challenges:

Love Is In The Air Card

I made this cute air balloon card to day and I think it turned out so cute. Just what I wanted but it looks even cuter. I cut the air balloon and the heart clouds out from some printed cardstock that I had in my stash. I stamped the sentiment (Docerela Creations) with some Close To My Heart ink in one of my favorite colors called Lagoon. I used a scrap of white paper for the background to emboss the windy swirls (D'Vine Swirls) with my Cuttlebug for the background. I added a little color to the swirls those with some chalk ink.

I am entering this card into some challenges at:
1. Docerela Creations -bridal shower
2. Ginger Snap Scraps -inspiration
3. Quick Chick Designs - lets get moving
4. Sprinkled With Glitter - embossing

Bee Happy Card

I made this cute little bee card for the challenge at Bitten By the Bug 2. You are to use a bee or ladybug on your project. I had a lot of ideas on this card and decided I wanted a tree on the card that I've been wanting to cut. I tweaked the tree in size a bit with my Gypsy and made the tree more narrow and skinny that what it is normally. I cut the bee from Create-A-Critter at 2". The wings are cut with blue vellum. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen Face Stamp, made some blush on the checks with chalk, stamped a bit of a blue cloudy background and I also used some gel pens to make some doodles and sparkle. I also Cuttlebuged the base of the tree with a wood grain folder.

CTMH Dragonfly Frame Card

I have here a cute dragonfly card I made with my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. I cut the card base and the frame at 4.75" and the dragonfly that goes on top at 3.75". I embossed the front of the card and the wings of the dragonfly with my Cuttlebug. I inked the edges of the frame and dragonfly. I used Viva Decor gold pearl pen to make some eyes and some lime green Stickles to give the dragonfly some sparkle. I have not decided on a sentiment yet, so I will leave that part to later when I have a recipient or occasion for this card. This card is pretty simple and quick to make. It can easily be mass produced.

CTMH Flower Thank You Cards

Hello there,
Hope your weekend is off to a great start! I have some Thank You cards that I made to show you today. It seems like you can never have too many Thank You cards in your stash. As it turns out I'm always running low on those, so I try to make some when ever I can...which is never enough-lol. The beautiful flower was made using a Close To My Heart Stamp called JUST FOR YOU (#B1398, comes with 7 stamps for only $9.95). Also some of the ink colors used are also close to my heart. The CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge was also used to cut the flower out and then I stamped it with the coordinating CTMH stamp. I love there products and the quality of them is fantastic. In short, I did some Cuttlebugging, ink embossing, pop dotting, background stamping, and adding some ribbon.
I am entering this card into the following challenge: Simon Says Stamp Challenge - April Showers Bring Spring Flowers.

Birthday Girl in Action Card

Hi Everyone!

Today I have a birthday card that I made for a little girl. I decide to make a Cricut-less card. I colored a stamped image with my Copic markers and added some Stickles. I used my Cuttlebug (ONE OF MY FAVORITE TOOLS) to cut a die from MCT. I wanted to layer the die, so I glued it down onto some paper and cute about 1/4" around it to give it a border. I then stamped the die with a coordinating border stamp that looks like party confetti. I used a Martha Stewart corner punch on two corners for a bit more easy detail. I wanted this card to be colorful, fun and vibrant. I like the way it turned out. I even added an Action Wobble to the girl. I'm sure the 4 year old I'm giving this card to will have fun with this.
I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

You can see the motion of her moving in this picture.

Don't forget to place your CTMH orders through my store!
Have a great day.

Challenge- Sketch & Squirrel

Its been a busy day, but I took some time to crank out a few cards that I wanted to enter into some challenges. I used the Create A Critter cartridge for my cute little squirrel that I need for the challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I used the sketch from Whimsical Designs for my card. I wanted to use a Valentine's theme with them, so I get some Valentines cards made as well. I wish I had made the squirrel smaller, I cut it at 3.5 inches, but I feel its so big. I would make it smaller if I make anymore of these cards so it fits into the scallop oval. But I still think its really cute.

Challenge- Throwback Thursday #295- MCT Sports Card

Good Sunday everyone,
I decided to make a card for My Creative Time's sport card challenge. I have this really neat Cuttlebug embossing folder that has a baseball theme. I decided to try a technique where you ink the embossing folder and then emboss with it. I like the way it turned out, but I think this technique is better suited for a simple design folder with one image like Devine Swirls or Dots that will call for only one color to be applied. It was a bit challenging to ink different and often small areas with different color inks and not get the wrong color on the wrong spot. This card will come in handy during our next baseball season.

I had this technique idea sitting in the back of my head...and I couldn't remember from where. Then when I got a sweet compliment of this card from Trell over at Polka Dots, Paint & Cake Batter, it dawned on me that's where I had recently seen the technique. He did a cute card where he inked the embossing folder, then embossed with it. So thanks Trell, for the inspiration.

Christmas Challenge Card

Hello Crafty friends,
I made this card to enter in a few challenges. I cut the ornament from Christmas Solutions at 3.5". I played with two different embossing techniques on these cards. On one ornament I embossed it in my Cuttlebug and the other card I embossed the sentiment with embossing power.

I am entering my cards into the following challenges:
