A Peachy Blue Birthday Wishes To You

I made my own pattern paper by stamping the peach paper all over with a flower stamp from CTMH's Word Puzzle set.

Yikes, if you ever forget to Cuttlebug emboss your piece of paper before you put adhesive on it, no problem. Just stick it on a piece of wax paper and it will pill right off with out destroying the paper or the adhesive.

I will enter this card into the celebration challenge that Jovan at Cards By Jovan is having to celebrate her 3 year blogaversary. I will also enter over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner in the anything goes challenge.

10 Things About Me Layout

I am very please at the way this layout turned out. I specially selected this color combo from some inspiration I found at the store in the gift wrap area.
Here is my inspiration:

Here is my layout

I used my Crop-A-Dile to attach the vellum to the paper and used the eyelet holes to create a loop for my ribbon.

I wanted to try something new, so I addes some burlap to my project.

I hand stamped the light coral paper with my CTMH stamp set called Word Puzzle.

I type the words and title on my computer printed it in gray ink and hand colored the letters in the specific color blue in I wanted.

I curled some hemp around a small circular object to curl it. I added some coordinating ribbon and a button to my pretty bow.

My layout will be entered into these challenges:
1. 3 Girl Jam- beautiful bows

Smile Butterflies Layout

Today I have a BEAUTIFUL layout to share. I seen this idea in a scrapbook magazine and new I had to make one for myself.

My butterflies are cute at 1.5" from Cricut Art Philosophy. There are two butterflies on the cartridge, this one is #35. The brown background paper under the butterflies was embossed with a wood grain folder and inked for texture and dimension. Some of the butterflies I colored with Faber-Castell pencils and then went over them with a water brush. After doing so, they get a water color effect--LOVE it. I will be found these in one of my shelves...I forgot I ever even bought them. Boy, the treasures I find around here sometimes. LOL. I used a Close To My Heart stamp called Take A Picture #C1440 and embossed it with white embossing powder. The green scallop border was welded and created on my Gypsy. The pretty teal and white polka dot paper is from the Dotty For You CTMH paper pack.

I water brushed the butterflies lightly. I didn't want to wash them out too much.

If you like the Close To My Heart stamp you seen

You can purchase it here

Baby You're A Firework Card

Ok, here is the last of my 4th of July, Firework, Patriotic, etc. projects for the year. I was not really sure where I was going with this card, then I started getting one idea after the next. The zigzag circle was cut from Cricut Art Philosophy at 3". I braided red, white and blue embroidery floss and looped it around my card and made a starburst in the same colors and tie it together on my braid. I used stickers and CTMH stamps to create my sentiment. The stamped image is from Close To My Heart and I colored it with Copic Markers and added some glitter gel pen to make it sparkle.

My card is based on this sketch:

I then inked the circle with the new Spring yellow Distress Ink and Tea Dye Distress Ink. I love the way it turned out. I cut the tag from Cricut Art Philosophy. Mermaid In The Sun Card

Hello again Crafty friends,
I know its been a while since my last post, but I have been super busy in other areas of life. Therefore, my crafting has been neglected a bit. But I'm getting my motor running again and I made this BEAUTIFUL card today with a really cute mermaid digi image from The Paper Shelter. I have fallen in love with several of their images and I will be buying more. I made this card with a sweet friend in mind. She lives back east and I like to poke fun at how sunny and warm the weather is here on the west coast in sunny Cali, so this card is perfect with it's sunny SMILE sentiment (from Close To My Heart) and fun sea scenery.

I colored the image with Copic markers, added some Stickles for bling and sparkle, added Glossy Accents on the water, some of the starfish have sand paste on them. I also distressed the edge of two of the star fish with brown Distress Ink and two were distressed over the whole thing with orange Distress Ink. I love the way this card turned out.

I will enter this card into the following challenges:
1. Sentimental Sundays
2. Gingerloft Challenge
3. The Paper Shelter
4. Paper Play Time
5. Creative Inspirations
6. Tammy's Scrapin Corner
