Sew Sweet N Crafty Challenge and my Simon Says Stamp Challenge entry

Hello Crafty friends,

I made this card to enter into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge. You are suppose to make a card with spots and/or stripes. I chose spots. My owl is spotted (get it, spotted owl--LOL) and the green background background paper has little dots.
http://simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/.

I used the Hoot N Holler Lite cartridge. I love this cart. I've had it on the shelf for a couple months and never used it...I finally blew the dust off (hehehe) and used it. I have some awesome sentiments that work with that owl cartridge from PBD.

Also, I have some blog candy to giveaway. Just make a card with an owl and link it to this post. I will draw a winner on January 20th using random.org. Shipping to US only. Good luck!

You will win a stamp set, chalk ink and some magenta glitter glue
to get you started on some Valentines projects.

Challenge- Throwback Thursday #295- MCT Sports Card

Good Sunday everyone,
I decided to make a card for My Creative Time's sport card challenge. I have this really neat Cuttlebug embossing folder that has a baseball theme. I decided to try a technique where you ink the embossing folder and then emboss with it. I like the way it turned out, but I think this technique is better suited for a simple design folder with one image like Devine Swirls or Dots that will call for only one color to be applied. It was a bit challenging to ink different and often small areas with different color inks and not get the wrong color on the wrong spot. This card will come in handy during our next baseball season.

I had this technique idea sitting in the back of my head...and I couldn't remember from where. Then when I got a sweet compliment of this card from Trell over at Polka Dots, Paint & Cake Batter, it dawned on me that's where I had recently seen the technique. He did a cute card where he inked the embossing folder, then embossed with it. So thanks Trell, for the inspiration.

Challenge- DL. Art Blogaversary & Die Cuttin Divas

Today  I made a sweet cupcake card for the DL. Art 1 Year Blogaversary challenge. You were suppose to use the colors pink, green, brown and the number 1.

I Made two of these cards. On the second one I did not put a number one on it so I can give it to my cousin who turns 29 next week. I will enter the challenge at  Die Cuttin Divas as well where you were required to use a sketch and a cupcake. They where having a blog hop.

I use a light pink color Stickles to cover the whole number ! and then outlined it in a magenta color Stickles.

Here is the second card I made without the number 1 on it.

Challenge Me Monday- #92 Warming Up With Hot Cocoa

I am very excited to share this card I made using my Love You A Latte Cartridge. That cart is AWESOME. I love it and used it for the first time finally. I bought some Scrappy Mom stamps that go perfect with this cartridge too. I will be sending this card to my friend who fell at work, got injured and has to go back to work next week (so I thought this sentiment was perfect). I will slip a packet of hot cocoa in the envelope too.

I made this cocoa cup to enter into a challenge at Fantabulous Cricut.

Here is the newest card I am in love with and I absolutely heart the sentiment too! I will be posting a similar card this week will more details for something sweet I will be entering, stay tuned...

Challenge- Holiday Thank You Card

Well, I thought I had promised the last of my winter season & Christmas cards. But, I found a challenge that called for me to make another holiday themed thank you card so here it is.

I cut the gingerbread girl from Winter Frolic at 4.5" and stamped a PKS face on it. I used white 3D paint so it would look like icing pipped onto the cookie. I tied a bow on her head, added some red heart iRocks and popped this cutie up on some pop dots. The edge of the card has been inked with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. The sentiment is from Joy's Life.

I will be entering this card at Docerela Creations: Design Team Post #4 Holiday Thank You Card

Happy New Years- Card Challenge

Hello and Happy New Years!

Here is a card I made to enter into a challenge over at
1. Cards by Jovan http://www.cardsbyjovan.com/
2. Whimsical Desgins http://www.whimsical-designs.com/2011/12/happy-new-year-or-favorite-project.html
3. Creative Cutter Room http://www.creativecutterroom.com/
4. Getting Cricky http://www.gettingcricky.com/2012/01/simply-sunday-challenge-its-celebration.html

I wanted to make a cute simple uncluttered card that focused on the glass with some shine and sparkle. This card is great for mass production because it is quick and easy to assemble. I got the glass on the Cricut From My Kitchen cartridge and cut it at 4 inche. I added some Stickles on the top of the glass and popped it up with some SU dimensionals. I also used a white gel pen and a silver stardust pen to add some detail and sparkle. The sentiment is from MPS. The edges are inked with Distress Ink Iced Spruce. I lastly added a ribbon because I feel like a New Year is a gift from God and sometimes ribbons make me think of presents and gifts...and seeing a New Year is definitely a gift to treasure.
