Christmas Wreath

Hello-just a quick post today. Here is a beautiful Christmas wreath I made with paper flowers. I cut the flowers from my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge (LOVE this cart and the flowers awesome, who knew). I bought a small wreath that is about 7 inches and I glued the flowers around it and added a cute bow and lastly some wire to hang it. I love the way it turned out.

Challenge- PKS Holiday Recipe Card

This cutie pie (no pun intended lol) recipe card was created for a challenge at PKS. I love the way it turned out. I made a the card for a recipe that my family has been using since before I was a born. Its a pie called Lemon Ice Box Pie. It is delicious, cold, cool and lemony. We usually make it around the holidays, but I enjoy it best in the summer. Its served cold from the freezer usually and since its a summer type fruit it taste all the better on a hot summers day. I will be making one later tonight matter of fact, so I will try to remember to post pictures of it.

I cut the lemons from the Cricut Preserves cartridge at 1.25. They are stamped with faces from two different PKS. Don't you just love the shy lemon peeking from behind the ribbon? The pie came on the From My Kitchen cartridge cut at 1.5. The recipe card base is from Cricut Imagine Imagine More Cards (I changed the colors) cut at 4.7. I added some pretty green gingham ribbon which is the perfect touch. I printed onto the card to get the neatest and smallest writing possible to fit on the card. I LOVE the way it turned out, so glad I played along. I might just keep going and make more for our family recipes.

Challenge- Themes Native American, Thanksgiving, Turkey...

Here is a card I made for some challenges.

Over at Cooking with Cricut the theme is Thanksgiving.
http://www.cookingwithcricut.com/2011/11/challenge-60-lets-talk-turkey.html

At Die Cuttin Divas the theme is Native American, which is in honor of Navtive American Heritage Day on November 26th.

Also, I am entering this card in a challenge at My Sheri Crafts Challenge.

I made the frame on the card from Elegant Edges and the brown border as well. I cut the tag from Art Philosophy and stamped it with the phrase "Indian Summer" and hand wrote Thankful. My turkey is from Animal kingdom cut at 2.5 inches and jazzed up with some markers. I cut the Indian girl from Paper Doll Dress Up at 4 inches. I stamped her face with some PKS. I have to say this card is a little bit out of my style. I wanted to try something new by cutting a background mat from the Cricut into a shape or something other than your standard rectangles and squares. I also usually punch my borders with a punch, this time I cut one from a cartridge. Its taking its slow time to grow on me...perhaps we'll get there lol.

PKS- Sketch Challenge #65

Hello,
I am sharing a card I made for the PKS challenge. I stamped the snowman and sentiment with CTMH stamps. I used my Copic markers to color the snowman. I used some Stampin Up Chocolate Chip and embossed it with some clear powder so I would be able to color the image with my Copic markers on this type of ink. I used the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge for the circle-scallop like shape. I really love the way it all came together. It one of my favs for sure.

PKS Sketch Challenge 64- Cricut Imagine Bird Cage Printed on Balsa Wood Card

Hello, I am excited to share this card with you. I finally remembered to grad some Balsa wood (even though its called Basswood on the price tag) from Joann when I went this weekend.
I cut the wood with a Spellbinder Die in my Cuttlebug. This piece of wood in the card is 1/32 inches thick, which is thinner than the 1/16. I like the 1/32 better. It lays flatter, its cuts easier and has a smoother texture in the wood grain. I also uses my new Kiwi Lane designs for the pink and cream colored paper layer, but it is hard to see with the other things on top. I will do another card soon featuring Kiwi Lane card designs. I finished this card just in time to enter it in the PKS challenge. I hope you like my card as much as I do!!!

Christmas 2011 Layout

Hello,
I am very excited to share this new layout I made to go into my "2011 Family Scrapbook." I do a layout for each month of the year. I got a jump start on this one as part of a challenge over at MPS. I am in love with the paper collection I used. I bought it at the Scrapbook Expo I went to earlier this month. I got the last of everything they had in the collection. There are several spaces for me to put some Christmas pictures on each page. The only thing I cut on my Cricut was the word Christmas. I welded it together and added some Stickles (I heart Stickles). I stamped and embossed the words "merry and bright" with a MPS stamp. I hope you love it as much as I do. Feel free to look around for some of the other Crafty things I have made and ones I've entered into MPS challenges. As always, new friends are welcome to follow. Have a Crafty day!

Krazy Kreations Glitter Card

Hello, I have an awesome card to share today that I made with Krazy Kreations Glitter Kit products. I bought it at the Scrapbook Expo I went to on Friday and I can't stop drooling over it. It's a glitter, sticker and paper product combo that you can color on with your Copic markers. The glitter is an extremely fine type of glitter that is so fine it feels soft and fuzzy. Basically you take the very sticky adhesive paper and sprinkle the glitter all over it, knock off the excess glitter and put an outline sticker on the now glittery paper. It can then be colored on with Copic markers. Other glitters will damage the nibs of your Copic markers because they are to rough and not fine enough. I will post a video soon on this cool technique so you can see start to finish. In the meantime here is the card I made...
