The Rest of my 2011 Christmas Cards & Projects

Hello all,
I hope you all had a wonderful CHRISTmas. I wanted to do one last post on Christmas theme stuff and show you all the other cards and projects I made this Christmas season that I did not post or blog about yet. I hope you like them. Some are super simple quick and easy, while some are a bit more detailed and time consuming.

I did this little elf card with green distress ink a few days ago. Here it is with different distress ink colors.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge- #91 Trimming with a tag and Scrappy Moms Bag Challenge

Hello again,
Wow, 2 post in one day, go me. Anyways, I made this cute little gift card holder for my sister's Christmas present. I used the cute ornament for a tag. I cut the GC holder from a MCT die. My sentiment is stamped from a CTMH stamp set. I love the paper and ribbons I choose, it all goes together so well. I then decided to put it in a little cello bag, tied a ribbon around it and she can put it under her Christmas tree.
I am entering this gift card baggie into a Fantabulous Cricut Challenge and also, Scrappy Moms Bag challenge

PKS Challenge- Designers Choice

Hello Happy almost Christmas Eve,

I made this cute little elf card to enter in a PKS challenge. I cut the elf from Jolly Holidays at 4.5 inches. I've been trying to cut my images as big as I can and fit them on a card still because it makes piecing them together so much easier. I added some black Glossy Accents to the lights string and some Stickles and clear Glossy Accents to the lights. I also used a Snow Marker I got at Joann in the isle with the fabric markers and it doesn't work that well at all. I distressed the edge with a Winter Seasonal Distress Ink called Iced Spruce. I will be sticking to my Liquid Applique. I stamped his little face with one of my PKS assorted faces stamps. Here is my elf cutie...

Have your elf a merry little Christmas!

Picture Inspired Christmas Card

Hello Crafty friends,

I found a challenge to draw inspiration from this picture and create a card. Though the challenge is closed I was still inspired and wanted to create a card. So that is what I will share with you today.

Here are the cards I was inspired to create.

I cut the holly at 4 inches from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.
I inked the edges of the leaves with two different shades of green ink and added some Diamond Stickles on the berries. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper. I added some faux stitching with a black get pen. On the first card I used one of the Tim Holt's Winter Distress inks. LOVE those seasonal distress ink colors, they are truly beautiful.

Sew Sweet N Crafty is the Guest Designer at 3 Girl Jam

Hello Crafty friends, I am excited that 3 Girl Jam is having me as Guest Designer today. I have always been an artsy crafty type person since I was a toddler. From childhood coloring books to adulthood with my Cricut I really enjoy nearly every form of creating art, crafts and sewing. I got my first Cricut in October 2010 after seeing a demo in Michaels. I fell in love with it and never foreseen all the possibilities that the Cricut has enabled me… as well as all the other tools and “toys” I have collected over the past year to supplement and compliment it.

So on to the good stuff. Here is the stocking I made to share with all of you.

I cut the stocking from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge at 11.5 inches. I can hang it from the fire place or stuff it with candy canes and other goodies and give it to someone for Christmas. As of now I am keeping it because I can’t bare to part with it, I just love how it turned out. The 3 Girl Jam pink crinkle ribbon was just the right touch for my stocking.
Art Philosophy is a super useful cartridge by the way. I am so glad I bought it. Back to the stocking, I used some Christmas stamps to stamp all over the stocking and then I sewed it together leaving a top open for goodies to go in. I sprayed it with some Shimmer Mist- Frost, added some pink 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon to make a bow. I also, painted the top of the stocking with white paint where the boa would go so the cream colored paper would not show through any gaps between the boa. I then, hot glued the boa down across the top of the stocking and added some Stickles to the holly & berries and popped them up with some pop dots (cut at 4 inches from Cricut Art Philosophy).

Thank you 3 Girl Jam, for having me as Guest Designer. I hope I gave everyone some inspirations to keep those holiday craft juices flowing. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Reindeer Christmas Card 4x8

Good day everyone,
Today I am sharing a 4x8 size card I made. I cut all 3 reindeer from the Christmas Solutions cartridge at 4 inches. By the way, there are some really great cuts and gems on there. I cut their accessories out of a glitter paper. I'm thinking now, it would have been cute to add some bells around their neck, but this a rather delicate cut, so I didn't want to do too much to it. I love the way it turned out. I made 3 of these cards and on one I added some magenta sheer glitter ribbon and on another I added some aqua colored ribbon with white snowflakes. I forgot to take pictures of those (ugh) before I mailed them out so you could see the different look the card had with simply adding another color ribbon

Christmas French Fries Goody Bags from Art Philosophy

TGIF, you have no idea how glad I am that it is Friday. I have been volunteering all week, getting no sleep and my Auntie has been moved to Hospice and suffering from cancer. I'm feeling saddened and depressed, please pray for her and my family my Crafty friends.

Moving forward, I have here some treat boxes I made. I used the fries box cut from Cricut Art Philosophy at 9.5 inches and the tag on the front of the box was cut at 1.25 inches and stamped with a coordinating CTMH stamp. The tags on the ribbons are cut at 2.75 inches from Plantin. I used the Winter Distress ink on the box tags. I added some sheer ribbon, which I have been loving. I put some yummy hot chocolate, marshmallows and a candy cane inside. I love the way these turned out. I made 8 of them.
I will enter these into:
1. Little Scrap Pieces
2. Fantabulous Cricut- Challenge Me Monday #90- Rolling in Ribbon.

Christmas Tree Link Up Party

So I am joining the Christmas tree link up party over at Docerela Creations. I am still decorating my Christmas tree...since every other day I get a new idea or inspiration and make more ornaments. I have some ornaments that are on my kitchen counter right now drying and I will paint the second step later today and add those. I was going to add some garland, but they sold out of the color I wanted over at Michaels so I may skip that this year :(. But here is my tree thus far...

Christmas Theme & More Challenge

Hello my Crafty blog buddies,
Today I have a card that I made for multiple challenges. There are several things I needed to incorporate to cover everyone's challenge. Here are the things I was required to incorporate between all the challenges: Christmas theme, PKS faces, fabric, follow a sketch, snowflakes, sparkle, use a Dilly Beans Digi stamp, add a bow or ribbon, use red embroidery floss and use the colors lime, pink and teal. OMG, I must tell you this was a challenge for sure to me to create a card that incorporated everyones requirements and still looked pretty, flowed well and kept with my style. I used my Copic markers to color the snow family, Cricut Art Philosophy for the 2" snowflakes, a punch for the tiny snowflakes,  The challenges I will enter are listed at the end. But without further a do here is the card I created and LOVE.

Here is a view to see where I added Liquid Applique to create some 3d snow.

I used some left over felt fabric for the snow on the ground.

Here are my Peachy Keen Faces stamps. They are stamped in an aqua blue and I sprayed on the snowflakes with some shimmer mist. (This ended up making them harder to see, but they are still adorable). Here is also my bow and ribbon.

I added some Stickles glitter glue on the hats and scarves for some addition sparkle and love it.

You can see more of my sparkle here on the heart, buttons and scarves. Here is were I incorporated the red embroidery floss I strung through the button on the snowman.

I actually made some doodles on the blue hat with my Glitter get pen for a different type of sparkle.
