How to cut the Speed Limit Sign on Cricut Disney Cars Cartridge

Hello everyone,

Hope your day is off to a fantastical start! I seen a question on Facebook yesterday from a fellow crafter wanting to know how to cut the speed limit sign on the page 75 of the Disney Cars handbook. I cut all the sign pieces in black and white and layered them in a number of ways and combinations to figure what went with what and what fit best.

The end result was that I only need 3 cuts:
-the main (base/bottom layer) image on the green side of the page cut in WHITE,
-then on the "Body/White/Windows: feature cut in WHITE (this will be the top layer),
-then press "Shift" for that same feature key and cut that part in BLACK (this will be the middle layer).

I hope this helps, because, yes, this cartridge can be challenging and there are so many small cuts and layer for most of the images.

You will cut the images with the pink dot above them.

Here is a picture showing what I originally thought might be confusing to people. The shadow layer I cut below is not what you layer underneath the white cut out sign. It didn't layer up right since it is a shadow and will be bigger than your base image.

Don't forget to add the negative pieces back into the holes of the curved letters/numbers
(P, D and 0)

Here is the final sign.
The base doesn't look big enough to go under the image, but it is the base and that's where it should be. More white show under at the top and bottom, but that is the way the image layers.

Have a Crafty day!
